It could be a man you've just met, or someone you think you know well. Only these body language signals can tell you what he's really thinking, and what he really wants.

One fine day I find myself waiting for my cousin at a hotel lobby, and in walks the most handsome man I have ever seen – no exaggeration here. I noticed he looked at me, and when I looked at him he looked away. I found it weird, and thought he's not interested. It was time to leave and that's where it all ended.

I realized later what happened. I completely misunderstood his body language signals of attraction. I did not know this, and neither am I sure how many of you know it, but there are various body language signs of attraction that people use, to attract the opposite sex, and those of you who may be as ignorant as I was, should really know how to decipher these signs. Understanding body language is essential, because everyone is not vocal about their feelings. Everyone fears rejection. Therefore, people give these body language signals, to gauge our interest in them.

Body Language Signals of Men – 'We Just Met'

I decided to do a little research to find out, what exactly it is that men do, to show that they're interested. The first time is always based on physical attraction, so you cannot really say that they're looking for an intense relationship. However, sometimes, all men want is a one-night stand. You have to learn to look out for those body language signals to know when to encourage them, and when to be wary.

He Stares, She Glares

If you find a man constantly staring at you, with one raised eyebrow, be sure his interest in you is going to last only one night. These facial signals are important in deciphering, what it is that he wants from you. A one-sided grin is another facial expression to look out for, that explains his level of interest. If your interest is not mutual, give him one harsh glare, and move along. Women speak a lot through body language too.

Silent Screams – 'Look at Me!'

If he walks into the place with a group of friends, and you suddenly find him moving away from his group, it is definitely a move to attract your attention, that is if you have been observing him. In another case, he may become the joker of the group, and begin performing antics that will even leave his friends gaping at him. This is an even louder signal for you to take notice of him.

Watch his Movements

His hands in his pocket, or in his legs also signify only sexual interest. If he suddenly spreads his legs, you definitely know what he wants. In other cases, he may sit cross legged and appear closed. This does not necessarily mean that he is not interested. In fact, it shows that he will open-up only in a close relationship.

Watch his Stance, Take a Chance

It should be understood that men are not as expressive as women. It takes a little more than just obvious facial expressions to understand what a man is trying to portray. In such a case, it is simpler to observe the position of his body. If he stands erect, it portrays self-confidence. He's pretty sure you're going to be as interested in him as he is in you. On the other hand, if his arms are folded across his chest, it signifies his insecurity and lack of confidence in himself. It's your choice, to take a chance by responding to him and assuring him that he is good enough for you.

We're Dating – Now What?

So you deciphered all those signals and are now going steady with him. If you're still unsure about him, watch out for these body language signals which will tell you, what exactly is playing in his mind.

Grip the Truth

When spending time together, if his grip on you is strong, it is a sure signal of bonding and protection. It clearly means he is serious about you and doesn't want to let you go. On the other hand, if his grip on you is weak, this relationship for him is not one that has really touched his heart. This should be a ringing bell for the direction of your relationship.

Listen Up!

To know if the relationship is really leading somewhere, you have to ensure that he listens to you, and is not distracted by other trivial things. While talking, if he's looking elsewhere, or he decides that the phone call he's receiving is more important than what you're telling him, you know what interests him more. If he genuinely cares, you'll know by his level of interaction in your conversation.

Cross My Heart and Hope to Die

Truthfulness is primary in any relationship. You can know when he is truthful to you, if he touches his heart while explaining himself. If you think he's lying to you, watch his physical movements, which will be minimal, so that you don't notice that something is fishy. If he looks everywhere but into your eyes, you can be sure he is not being truthful.
