Ways to Cure your Hangover

your hangover

Since I am on a health kick, I have not had a drink in a few weeks. Not even when the Chicago Bears play, which is a miracle because that was a long time ritual every Sunday.

So, with no drinks, I have no hangover problems. But, something tells me that you Dumb Little Man fans are not as innocent. With the weekend and holidays coming up, here are some great ways to lose your hangover.

Drink Buttermilk. (ughh) It will calm you stomach and add badly needed liquid into your system. That is, if you can keep buttermilk down hungover.

Ginseng tea is given to relieve the effects of alcohol. This may be the practice, but there is no reason to believe ginseng will help.

Cheap Ghillie Suits Are A Hunters Secret

ghillie suit

Throughout the years, Snipers have been a vital part of military campaigns by eliminating commanding officers to cripple large numbers of forces. An effective sniper will eliminate an entire unit of men without them ever having a chance to see where they are being attacked from. A sniper does this by being extremely patient and calculating his moves with every possible consequence in mind.

The second most important piece of equipment after a Sniper's rifle is his Ghille suit. Many Snipers take great pride in creating their own suits to use on Sniper missions and to play Paintball. Ghillie suits are developed to resemble a patch of deep vegetation or foliage, the suit was developed by games keepers as a sort of portable hunting blind. These Snipers takes hour of hard work fabricating and seasoning their Ghillie suits properly, and the most dedicated Sniper will take pieces of the surrounding vegetation and incorporate them into his Ghillie suit as he moves along on his stalk, as to consistently mimic his changing surroundings.

Avoiding Cholesterol -- Especially Fried

Ordinary cholesterol may be bad for your heart, but frying it can be a real bummer, researchers say.

That leads to oxidization of the cholesterol, possibly creating more fatty (atherosclerotic) plaque in the arteries. It's found mostly in fried eggs, butter and animal fat products.

Writing in the journal Arteriosclerosis, Thrombosis and Vascular Biology, University of California at San Francisco scientists say a study of rabbits fed "oxidized" cholesterol had atherosclerotic plaques twice as large as those eating a regular cholesterol diet.

The oxidized form may damage coronary artery cell linings and lay the groundwork for plaque to form, the researchers say.

Health Care Education in the 21st Century

health care

The health care industry and the Internet have always made uneasy bedfellows, although the relationship has improved dramatically in recent years. Initially, when the Internet was less regulated, health care professionals were crying foul at the proliferation of unlicensed pharmacies and unlicensed practitioners doing business via the World Wide Web. While those complaints have subsided coinciding with a new set of laws for e-commerce, many health care professionals are still wary of the influence of the Internet on the industry as a whole. Some medical practitioners lauded the onslaught of web sites that offer free medical information while others saw it as an intrusion to their authority. Health care education suffered the same fate for quite some time. While many in the medical community saw an opportunity to expand the opportunities for health care education, others were skeptical.

Common Carotid Artery

carotid artery

The common carotid artery is considered one of the most important arteries in the human anatomy, as it supplies oxygenated blood to the brain...

The human anatomy is one of the most complex and intricate structures, and the common carotid artery is a part of it. This is one of the arteries that supplies oxygenated blood to the brain and neck. The common carotid artery is a paired structure which divides into two parts, one known as the external carotid artery and the other is known as the internal carotid artery. Both the internal and external carotid arteries run upward in the neck. These two are the main supply lines of oxygenated blood to the neck and the brain and if anything goes wrong with this artery it is considered to be a serious problem. There are some risks to the common carotid artery bifurcation, there is a possibility of blockage due to plaque build up or due to blood clots. This condition is known as carotid artery stenosis. The symptoms of problem in the carotid artery are very subtle and only medical diagnostics can reveal any problem.

Hypothalamic Disorders

hypothalamic disorders

One of the most common symptoms associated with hypothalamic disorders include frequent headaches, cold intolerance and fatigue. To know about causes of hypothalamic disorders, read on...

Doctors have studied the human brain and have come to the conclusion that each part of the brain is assigned with a specific task. Hypothalamus is a small cone shaped region within the brain that does a very important job of controlling different metabolic processes of our body. The pituitary gland in the brain, also referred to as master gland, regulates functions of thyroid and adrenal gland. However, the pituitary gland is in complete control of the hypothalamus. When this area of the brain does not function properly, the person is said to suffer from hypothalamic disorders. Read more on hypothalamus function.

Body Language Signals

body language

It could be a man you've just met, or someone you think you know well. Only these body language signals can tell you what he's really thinking, and what he really wants.

One fine day I find myself waiting for my cousin at a hotel lobby, and in walks the most handsome man I have ever seen – no exaggeration here. I noticed he looked at me, and when I looked at him he looked away. I found it weird, and thought he's not interested. It was time to leave and that's where it all ended.

I realized later what happened. I completely misunderstood his body language signals of attraction. I did not know this, and neither am I sure how many of you know it, but there are various body language signs of attraction that people use, to attract the opposite sex, and those of you who may be as ignorant as I was, should really know how to decipher these signs. Understanding body language is essential, because everyone is not vocal about their feelings. Everyone fears rejection. Therefore, people give these body language signals, to gauge our interest in them.

about how many

Have you been exercising more this year? Maybe you're finally making good on a New Year's resolution that you make every year. Want to keep up your hard work and make your goal a way of life? Here's the advice that has been working for me ....

TELL EVERYONE!

OK, well maybe not to the point where you're blabbing about how many weight reps you did at the gym, or tweeting about how many calories you burned an hour ago (though if it works for you, great!), but the idea is to let others in on your fitness goals so that you become accountable!

about how many

I've been sharing my newfound love of running here on this blog, via Facebook, and also to my close friends and family. What I'm finding is that more people are asking me how it's going or sharing their own running stories, which makes me less prone to procrastinate my daily jogs. In fact, in the last month and a half, I've learned to love running. I've finally made it a habit! It's a strategy that works for me and lots of others, say fitness experts.

Sleep Apnea Neptune City For New Treatment

apnea neptune

Sleep Apnea Neptune City is a centre like many throughout the world. The treat conditions that are is not new but treatment has been ineffective through many centuries. In many cases victims might not even know that they have a problem, yet their problems can have far reaching implications for their long term health

Shakespeare knew much about rest deprivation and portrayed it in his play, 'Macbeth'. An ambitious couple give themselves to evil in the interests of gaining power. Because they do what they know to be wrong they destroy their consciences and their ability to sleep. Macbeth describes it as the 'chief nourisher in life's feast' that 'knits up the raveled sleeve of care'. The metaphor does illustrate very accurately what the beneficial effects are of slumber in mending psychological damage, especially brain strain and stress.
